  1. Believe it or not, the pan flute solo in "Wild Thing" is not the best thing about the Troggs. Other things that rule about them: they put like eight slavering, lascivious songs about being horny in the British Top 10; their drummer sounds like he learned to play from a caveman; and they wrote one of the sweetest songs ever ("Any Way That You.

  4. The title of Mixed Bag was an appropriate description of this rather scrapheap Troggs assembly, as it wasn't really a regular album. Instead, it was a budget-priced compilation matching eight songs that appeared on British and American singles in with four others that made their first appearance on the LP.6/

  7. Please note that this review refers to a release of the "Cellophane" album with 12 different bonus-tracks (Not the "Mixed Bag" album) The Troggs of the 's can hardly be called an album's band. Nevertheless they did release some pretty solid albums for Fontana / Page One in the sixties/5(7).

  9. Hip Hip Hooray is actually a retitled and slightly resequenced reissue of the Troggs' U.K. album Mixed Bag (which never came out in the United States), tacking on 11 CD bonus cuts from 19singles. The original title Mixed Bag was an appropriate description of this rather scrapheap assembly, as it wasn't really a regular album. Instead, it was a budget-priced compilation.
