  1. Despite a couple of previous worthy studio efforts to their name, when Bloodshot came out in , the J. Geils Band was best known for being a smokin’ hot live act, a reputation bolstered by the success of their previous album, “Live” Full House, which was their highest-charting record to rotdytanseretepharrisunsenasuck.coinfohot changed all that. Here was a studio record that captured all the raucous energy of.

  4. Bloodshot is the J. Geils Band's third studio album and their first Top Ten (and last until 's smash Freeze Frame). The band sounds tighter, meaner, and funkier than on their first two releases, frontman Peter Wolf is looser and wilder than ever, and J. Geils positively rips things up on guitar. This newfound power could be down to the band blanketing the country and honing their craft in.

  7. Bloodshot is full of some of The J. Geils Band's most signature songs, (Ain't Nothin' But a) House Party, Southside Shuffle, Start All Over Again, and the uber funky extended Give It To Me. My favorite track though is the album cut Don' Try To Hide it. Ooompah Tuba and all.

  9. Full House, the live album, was a sore disappointment for those fans who were itching for something fresh. A live album wasn't the answer. Bloodshot is the answer. The fourth LP is what the band should've done instead of Full House. It's a complete break-through because it attacks all their old problems at once and solves each with a vengeance.
